Malayan Insurance Strengthens its Digital Distribution Channels

Malayan Insurance Co., Inc. has forged a partnership with the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) for easy digital access to microinsurance products by the public.


Through RCBC’s DiskarTech mobile application, 13 microinsurance products are made available through the digital platform.


The DiskarTech app is the first “Taglish” super inclusion mobile app that encourages users to manage their finances online. It can be downloaded through the Google Play Store and App Store.


The 13 microinsurance products are: Dengue Cash, Commuters Personal Accident (PA), Super PA, Ridesafe, Sari-Sari store insurance, MGM free insurance 10, Covid 19 130, Covid 19 Senior 195, Covid 19 600, Covid 19 Senior 900, Covid 19 1.1k, Covid 19 Senior s1.6k, and Covid 19 1.5k.


Malayan Insurance this year has forged alliances with companies with strong digital platforms in efforts to increase its distribution channels to better serve the general public.


“We will continue to forge meaningful partnerships to reach more Filipinos in need of insurance protection and provide them coverage from risks,” Malayan Insurance president and chief executive officer Paolo Y. Abaya said.


Earlier, the insurer partnered with Kwiktech Insurance Brokerage Inc. ( making available five of its insurance products on the digital marketplace.


These insurance products are namely: comprehensive motorcar insurance Auto Master, PA insurance with Covid19 Vital Cover, Dengue Cash assistance product, PA insurance Family Relief, and a PA insurance product for women called Stela SHIELD.


“The pandemic has shown us that as members of one nation, one society, we are only as strong as the person next to us. By enabling financial inclusion, we hope to do our share in leading our country from the worst of the crisis,” Abaya added.
